Agreed. That is a great point; we should educate ourselves as well in order to better understand other people, especially the Jewish and Muslim perspective. When we understand that we can speak from a more informed point of view. I think a lot of how we talk these days is simply repeating something we heard on social media and we just take this without evaluating the information or having done our own research. Taking these courses is probably one of the best first steps; it has given me a place from which I can at least begin to form a legitimate opinion.
