Reply To: In the first lecture, Dr. McDermott teaches that the Bible is one story, and that God upholds his covenant with the Jewish people to this very day. Was this what you were taught growing up? If not, how will this insight change the way you read the bible going forward?

Hi patience! Nice to hear your story, I imagine how this impacted your worldview since a young age. In perspective, I didn’t grow up with this understanding – it was no supersessionism, but nothing about Israel or the Jews – but learning about this as an adult really impacted me. We need to grow in love for the Jews and Israel as the church.
