Hi Erin, I also didn’t realize how much antisemitism existed among mainstream Christians. I really did think it was exceptional and practiced only by ignorant criminals who were Christian in name only. I appreciate that you point out in your post that we have a responsibility in the present day to recognize this and form our own reactions and support accordingly. I suppose one of the dangers I’ve seen by well-meaning Christians are to proselytize aggressively in response to the conflict or merely pointing out the fact that they created this themselves by rejecting Jesus. I can’t tell you how much I have been hearing this lately and I’ve never heard it before in my life. Clearly, we all need some reminding and education about this painful past.
