Reply To: In Lecture 2, Dr. Dru Johnson mentions that there has been a decline in biblical literacy in the Church. After taking this course, what are some recommendations you would give to church leadership to increase biblical literacy?
I agree with you when you say it starts with getting the young people of the church involved and offering some kind of study or small group setting to help teach how to read the Bible. I think discipleship in the church is where this starts. I think our churches have gotten away from a discipleship culture and we’re often left to figure things out on our own instead of within a community.
