Hi Kaitlyn,
Honestly, I was surprised to hear Professor Walter Russell Mead say that Jews historically have not been successful in lobbying the American government. In his second sermon, he tells the story of Eric Jacobson going to Truman and asking Truman to recognize Israel almost has a fairytale, but the story is true. Jacobson’s story is a testimony to the power of relationships. Now, I think the Jewish people are more successful in lobbying efforts because the Jewish community is going beyond and brining in Christians and other groups who are also pro-Israel to stand with them in their efforts.
