It is extremely important that we as Christians understand and examine the antisemitic history of Christianity when responding to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict so that we can respectively have a well-rounded perspective of the issue at large. To understand the hateful messages of past Christians such as Martin Luther and Justin Martyr and to effectively renounce and disagree with them to show brotherhood and friendship with the Jewish people are extremely important when promoting a peaceful resolution to the conflict. Unfortunately, to make matters worse, Hitler and the Crusades were done in the name of Jesus against the Jews and the Muslims to perpetuate a violent, inexcusable picture of Jesus that He did not approve of. We as Christians today are to take the history of the mistakes of Christianity and be representatives of Jesus Himself through the power and fruit of the Holy Spirit to yield a true love and peace. Without this understanding, we are falling into the trap of becoming ignorant, and unconcerned children of God for His creations, and the horrific things they wrongly suffered in the name of pride through Christianity.
