Here are three tangible things that I am personally going to try to do to improve relationships with Christians from other traditions:
1. I’m going to attend different church services. I love doing this when I travel because I get a feel for the local culture through how they do church. But I can also do this close to home.
2. I’m going to listen. This one sounds simple, but it is so easy to try to interject with our own thoughts and opinions. Instead of sharing my side of things, I’m going to ask questions when I’m with someone with similar yet different beliefs.
3. I’m going to be a lifelong learner. Of course, I am already in the process of this. My travels and courses I’ve taken (including this one) have helped with this. This will not only help my relationships with Christians from other traditions, but help my relationships with Christians from similar traditions as we learn together.
