Reply To: In the first lecture, Dr. McDermott teaches that the Bible is one story, and that God upholds his covenant with the Jewish people to this very day. Was this what you were taught growing up? If not, how will this insight change the way you read the bible going forward?

Growing up Protestant I’d never encountered the terms supersessionist or dispensationalist either. It wasn’t until I started thinking through theological views on Israel that they were introduced to me. Maybe it isn’t your Catholic background and it’s the church as a whole not talking about Israel enough?
