I agree that this sad history is important to understand as it informs our understanding of the conflict. Also, we need to understand the history of our religion. Whether we like it or not, we are often lumped in with our spiritual ancestors. This History of people claiming to be Christian while expressing antisemitism can put up barriers and block our ability to bring positive influence to this conflict. We must understand how others view our religion and especially if these views are inaccurate we can lovingly defend our faith and display that true Christianity which has not a hint of antisemitism or even other types of racism.
