I had very similar feelings as you regarding politics, even though the reasons why differed a bit. But likewise, this course also struck a similar chord for me. For years I have heard about the importance of voting, and while I am a registered voter, I often shrug off these messages because I as an individual voter statistically cannot make that much of a difference. But if I cannot be trusted with the simple act of turning in my ballot, how can I be trusted with making a difference for God’s Kingdom?
