I concur with your assessment of avoiding complacency and taking a active role in this life to mold the world in a manner which the Lord would be pleased with it if he were to return. I also agree with the statement Christians have lost touch with the historical and philosophical spheres of the faith and we no longer look to effect the world for the kingdom but seek to have it comfort us and serve us rather than use serving it at our own personal expense.
