Absolutely this. All of it. Particularly to education – “My people perish for lack of knowledge” … if we don’t know what the Bible meant to its writers and audience, but prefer to interpret it anachronistically to appease our lusts, we miss the entire point. How can we be grafted into a plant we have demonstrated that we despise for nearly 1800 years? What’s the point? Do we even know anymore?
As for interfaith dialogue, not only search for a Jewish community to learn from, but recognize what neopaganists (including those clothed in Christian sheep’s clothing) is currently saying about semites, and learn how to dispel myths and libel appropriately.
