We see a contrast as well between when Lebanon was under Christian control and when Lebanon was and is now under Muslim control with the three ascendancies. We see how Lebanon prospered under Christian political influences. It was considered the Lebanese “Golden Age.”
Then, we see what happened when Lebanon fell to Islam in 1990, staring with the Sunnis. We started seeing the rise of political corruption and economic collapse under the Sunni Ascendancy. Then, things got worse for the Lebanese under the Shiite Ascendancy when Hezbollah took over.
Lebanon thrived and prospered under Christianity. Lebanon is in turmoil with political corruption and economic collapse under Islam, first with the Sunnis, then with Hezbollah.
