I agree that Christians and Muslims both seek to live “morally upright” lives, but I think it can be challenging for Muslims in the Middle East to separate true Christianity from the moral degradation they see in Western Culture. To many Muslims, they are one in the same. Of course in the West, we are guilty of the same thing, assuming all Muslims are radical or terrorists.
While I do think Christians and Muslims can find common ground in following a moral code, monotheism, and Abraham, Christians must be very intentional in separating true Christianity from watered down, false Christianity that is commonly associated with the West.
