Reply To: Why is it important for Christians to keep the sad history of Christian antisemitism in mind when responding to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the present?

Andrew Langford

It is important to point out from the start as mentioned in this course Christian Antisemitism was what led to Zionism and the Jewish migration to Palestine from the start. European Christians held the Jews responsible for the death of Jesus and felt the Jews should be punished for it.
Christians could preach getting along, love, and forgiveness all they want in context with the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict. But, the Christians did not historically hold that attitude with the Jews.
The Christians sometimes tend to live a double standard with getting along, live, and forgiveness.
