I agree with your opinion and think it’s unique in that it highlights the modern state of Israel in all its imperfection, and the difference between the modern state and the Biblical Israel. It’s also worthwhile, as the lessons stated, to realize that it is ok to criticize Israel without being antisemitic. In that criticism, we also have to be aware of antisemitic tropes against the Jews, and counter these beliefs from Christians and non-Christians.
