I think that it’s interesting that you mentioned how Jews are wary of missionaries coming to Israel claiming the name of Christ. In fact, I think it’s a very important understanding for missionaries to have when going to the Holy Land. Jews often see missionaries as oppressors who hate the Jews due to the past experiences of Jews in Europe during the diaspora. Because of this reality, it’s important that missionaries are careful when going to Israel and make an effort to show how different they are from those of the Catholic Church of that time. It may even be a good idea for a missionary to not go to Israel under the title “missionary”. Rather, one could just label themselves as a person who loves Yeshua and want to lovingly share His salvation with the Jews.
