Reply To: Why is it important for Christians to keep the sad history of Christian antisemitism in mind when responding to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the present?

This is an important point and one I’m eager to learn more about in the course on Christian-Jewish relations, as I see theologically traditional Jews and Christians (and Muslims) as occupying a similar situation in modern America – our views are all seen as backward and subject to hostility and countermessaging from mainstream society. And yet I worry that I may inadvertently step on land mines of sensitive history by coming in with that assumption when someone more attuned to Jewish history might see conflict more than common ground.
