Christians need to stand up for religious freedom for people of all faiths and not just our own, even if we believe our religion is the one that holds the Truth, because Jesus was not authoritarian. Jesus gave us free will, so we could choose in freedom if we want to follow Him or not. It would be against Christian beliefs to impose Jesus on everyone as some sort of dictatorship. Moreover, if we eliminate all religions, but our own, how would we know who truly and freely is choosing Jesus and honoring the first commandment? Everyone has the right to have beliefs and to have their own explanations to the meaning of creation and life. I have come across Christian converts who by questioning their own beliefs and previous religion, they have embarked on a journey to seek for truth and ultimately end up in Christianity. God is mysterious in His ways and can use another religion to bring people to the true religion.
