It is very important for Christians to keep the sad history of Christian antisemitism in mind, so we do not make the same mistakes we committed towards the Jewish community, when responding to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the present. Looking at our history, Christians once accused the Jews of killing Christ; however, we cannot generalize, this statement is very dangerous because Christ, Joseph, and Mary were Jews. It goes against our own beliefs to accuse and judge others, only God can judge. In the same manner, we cannot make a broad statement towards the Israeli-Palestinian conflict because we would be hurting humanity if we do not treat this complex conflict with compassion, and respect. Christians need to continue to have a dialogue with our brothers and sisters from the Near East, showing them that we are willing to engage, listen, understand and lean a hand to those in need of peace.
