Hebraic leadership to me means navigating through a historical map that takes us to the kingdom of God – the city promised by Christ. It is taking responsibility to be a leader and discerning in humility the path to take by making good decisions to get those who are following me to their destination. Hebraic leadership also means not losing sight of the destination as we navigate through this chaotic world. Jesus said, “I am the way”, so to me being a Hebraic leader means following Jesus’ footsteps, his signs, his miracles, and his words to get to the promised land. Moreover, Jesus said to walk with faith and not by sight, so a leader should not navigate with sight and common sense, but rather with faith. Sometimes, God leads us to places where reason and sight alone will disorient us, but faith will allow us to overcome the confusion to get to our mission, similarly to Moses, who led the people through the sea, regardless of how irrational that might have seemed.
