Despite being born, raised, and currently living in a Catholic-majority country (Philippines), I have a dearth of knowledge about the Catholic faith and its traditions mainly because I was raised in the Protestant faith (Baptist tradition) and had a relatively closed “Evangelical Christian bubble” whilst growing up. So, the points that you raised amused me such that the doctrinal nuances of Catholicism and Protestantism on the matter of God’s covenant with the Jews could not be as poles apart as I thought they are.
