I was also raised in a Baptist church and I also cannot recall that my church has intentionally taught that God upholds his covenant with the Jewish people to this very day. In my case, however, it was my father who personally taught me about God “keeping his promises” to Israel. However, I grew up not reading these covenants too literally in that some of which might have a certain degree of spirituality or have a metaphyiscal aspect that their implications would not be readily realized in the physical world.
