Your statement “Dr.McDermott implied, Christians need to know that God intended to bless the world from the beginning sin entered the world. The old covenants showcase the progression and delivery of that intended blessing, Jesus Christ,” reminds me of Dr. McDermotts statement that God intended to bless the world through his people the Jews (and not solely salvation, although ultimate). That made a ton of sense to me. I never really thought about God delivering his blessing to the world that way. Makes so much sense.
