I live in an area where our neighbors are not Christian. I was reminded that I must be faithful to proclaiming the kingdom of the Gospel as well as at my ministry job. The ministry of Christ is not bound to institutional Church (which needs to collapse by the way). I will continue to increase my prayers for my neighbors and treat them more regularly as a friend as I try to minister to them. I have been trying to engage them in meals and living life together in our close knit community. I was also reminded the importance of history regarding conflict at my work. As I am facing conflict with my co-worker and supervisor their is important history that is complicating the matter. One co-worker is getting triggered because of previous events that were not resolved in her favor. I need to remember to be sensitive to their feelings. Furthermore, I was encouraged that it is okay to work for the government which I am currently doing. God may have me in this position for a reason and I need to be faithful in implementing kingdom principles at work.
