Hi Kari,

I love that you bring up how we put into perspective the truths of the Bible to how we live today in this world. It brings to mind 2 Corinthians 5:20 We are, therefore, Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

We are ambassadors of Christ, and if we are living a life based on our feelings and not the truth in God’s word, then we are simply misrepresenting Christ. People come to know God through those who are called Christians around them. We must live as Christ did, to eat with the sinners but not to sin, to love people where they are but lead and live in a way that helps them to see Christ.
