Well said. An understanding of the conflict is vital to responding to people who throw out these accusations, and many people do not have that understanding. Promoting dialogue, understanding, and cooperation between Israelis and Palestinians is part of the solution, but I also believe we must promote dialogue, understanding, and cooperation between those who think it is one side versus the other. Especially in our daily lives, it seems as though we will encounter more people who are not directly involved in the conflict, such as the Israeli and Palestinian people actually living in the area, but the people who are misinformed and outside the conflict. Those people need to be informed and communicated with just as much as the people physically and intimately involved with the conflict.
