Thanks for recalling those examples of Biblical heroes who used their faith to influence both their personal and political lives, particularly in the arena of foreign policy. I think the example of Joseph is particularly poignant for the realm of faith-based policy. His ability to listen to God, and prepare and plan for the future, not only saved the lives of those in Egypt but for thousands of others who were affected by the drought. His simple obedience to God’s commands and his faith was what provided that physical salvation for others.
