Thank you so much for your post. It is amazing to see that I was not the only one affected by this course. I noticed that you mentioned the connection between Syria and Russia, and I agree; the countries’ relationship is quite interesting. It seems the historical dynamics of the Syrian Civil War paired with Russia’s former Soviet Union past is a unique partnership that is unstable, yet equally beneficial. Apparently, Russia’s support of the Assad regime and Assad’s recent aid to Russia by sending Syrian mercenaries is an indicator that the Syrian Civil War may turn into a Euro-Asian conflict.
