Not limited to matters of religion, too many people approach learning about our differences as a means of correcting what they see wrong with ways of looking at things that aren’t one’s own. Instead, we should approach with a willingness to reexamine our own perspective in light of the fact that other ones exist. I do not think this weakens our systems of beliefs- I think it instead strengthens it.
