I really enjoyed reading your post and how you have been continuing your journey into the Jewish faith! It is so interesting how many of us in this forum are given glimpses of God’s covenants in our childhoods but are never truly informed of their relevance. It is like churches do not realize that without the full truth and testament of the old covenants, that are still in effect today, we can not really know Christianity. It is like Dr.McDermott implied, Christians need to know that God intended to bless the world from the beginning sin entered the world. The old covenants showcase the progression and delivery of that intended blessing, Jesus Christ.
