One thing that really resonated with me was adopting the attitude of leadership before we are granted the label of ‘leader.’ Finding myself in a season of preparation of whatever God has for me, I have to resist the notion that my “calling” is persistently some future thing to be aspired to and prepared for. Scripture lists plenty of “callings” that I can abide in in the meantime. I have found myself over these past two years engaged in many different social and community projects, from religious to political to community, and I have to be mindful-and now intend more resolutely after taking this course, to remember to see these fields as opportunities to abide by the call. As fields of ministry as opposed as just ways of being engaged with the world.
