Reply To: In the first lecture, Dr. McDermott teaches that the Bible is one story, and that God upholds his covenant with the Jewish people to this very day. Was this what you were taught growing up? If not, how will this insight change the way you read the bible going forward?

It seems to me that moving away from antisemitic teachings and prejudices is an essential task for those of us who are seeking to build and expand the Kingdom. And I think it is important to see this work not as a rejection of the tradition or even a “correction” of it, but rather a way of entering “further up and further in” to what it means to be a Christian.
