It seems that hope as the heart of Hebraic leadership is a key to understanding the role of exile in the Hebrew tradition. It is only through hope that a people can endure the suffering of exile. Only through hope can a Hebraic leader offer a constructive vision for moving forward past pain. Only through hope can the Hebraic leader expand the Kingdom and invite people to join him in a joyful exile.
