Understanding the complexities definitely gives me pause when I think about U.S. intervention in the Syrian War. While it is good to want to work towards peace and get rid of dictators who use chemical weapons on innocent people, there isn’t a clear force in Syria to back. Every opposition group has it’s own agenda and propensity to be radical. It is a complex issue that will require thoughtful responses from the U.S. and allies going forward.
