Hi Janae, I had the same thought about my history education in high school. I didn’t learn the details about the effect WWI and WWII had on the boundaries and the players in the middle east until I took this course. In terms of the lesson on weaponry, Israel’s defense capability is impressive, given that Israel is much smaller than its neighbors. Learning about each nation’s military defense capability helps provide context for headlines on the near east today.
