I 100% agree with you! It is impossible to ever find any sense of peace in our lives when we put all our hope in the world, in our country, or in a politician! That isn’t to say we shouldn’t be concerned with politics at all, but rather, if our life is properly ordered to our true end, the kingdom of God, then all our other works, including concern for our country will be properly ordered as well. We will not only be less anxious, but also more effective patriots if we remember our TRUE end, and place our hope solely in Christ.
