Hi Sarah, I’m glad you pointed out that people in America tend to think issues are binary. It made me think of the four steps we as Christians should take – be compassionate, diligent, discerning, and active. Many people do not have proper discernment because they lack the diligence to explore the conflict to the depth it deserves. We as Christians are given a duty, especially those in leadership positions, to have discernment. Some issues are harder than others and that’s when we are to rely on the Holy Spirit to guide us as to how we can best love and support our Jewish and Palestinian friends.
