Appreciate how Hebraic leadership centers on Jesus and requires not merely suffering for suffering’s sake but one looks beyond the temporary afflictions of the current age: Jesus, the founder and perfector of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2). Let us fix our eyes on Jesus and participate in his suffering and his glorious redemption of our world.
