Absolutely. I was really moved by Dr. Shapiro’s talk as well when I went to Israel a few years ago. I had never understood why Jewish people often struggle with Christian evangelism and particularly with Messianic Judaism. Her talk, and my subsequent study such as this Pathfinder course, helped me realize the reasoning behind it. How very tragic that the Cross of Christ (the ultimate manifestation of God’s love and reconciliation) has been used as the symbol of violence, hatred, and oppression. This has helped me become much more cognizant of the painful history.
