When I was growing up, I was taught the doctrine of supersessionism, either outrightly or by assumption. Having the information I have now, I believe it is vital to examine the Biblical evidence for God’s maintaining of His covenant with Israel. The Bible states in multiple places that this covenant is everlasting. It is important upon hearing supersessionist theology to ask questions of those who assert these beliefs and bring the truth in love. Concerning antisemitism, a good way to aid in combatting this rhetoric would be to reach out to local Jewish organizations or places of worship and attempt to bridge the gap that way. In my community, we have recently experienced public displays of antisemitism, so I believe that there is no better time than right now to begin and perpetuate the dialogue against antisemitism.
