Alex CevallosReading the scriptures with a frame of mind that there is a theme between writers of the Bible. Dr Dru calls it a hyperlink. I am beginning to understand that if it is important then the writers will mention it over and over. This is something I will use in both my private reading time and group reading time. In fact, during the course, as I was listening to the lecture, I began to think about topics that are answered in the bible throughout different books. I often think of how our bodies are not our own. With Mount Sinai God told Moses to give man instructions on how we should treat our bodies. The same theme is found in the New Testament when it says we should offer our bodies as living sacrifices.
I am greatly blessed that I completed this course because it was an answer to prayer. For many years I have prayed diligently for God transfer my mind. The scripture says to “be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” However, I never understood what that would entail. After completing this course I am convinced that it means more than just focusing on the afterlife at this world is temporal, but it also means thinking in a similar way that the writers of the Bible did. Therefore, the answer to my prayer is learning about Hebraic intellectualism which is something this course did an exceptional job at teaching.
